Unhappy Audio System Help Please!

When I bought the car (2001 VDP-Alpine System without Navigation), the front speakers were making a buzzing noise (like a busted diaphragm) at low volume (mid-high volume no buzzing noise) so I figure the front speakers must be fried, right? I bought new speakers (Crutchfield - Polk Audio db651s) and installed them.
I STILL GET THE BUZZING NOISE IN THE FRONT SPEAKERS!!! Any suggestions on what the problem could be? Thanks

no double posting please, one thread per topic is the limit. Your other thread has been deleted.

sounds like a wiring problem, test the output directly from the amplifer with an old speaker, if it works then its easy, just re-run with new speaker wire.

Wiring problem? On both front doors? Quite a coincidence...

If it stayed with new speakers, then it is either the head unit or the amp. If front only, more likely the amp - fade is done there - only two audio signals (L & R) go from head to amp. The amp is behind the trunk lining, left fender, mounted with the CD changer.

Back in the 'old' days, a buzzing like that could be non-resistor spark plugs... but not likely these days. Much more likely a bad amp or connection.

If you're interested, go here - http://www.captainjaguarscathouse.co..._Reference.htm - to download the full wiring diagram for your car, including the audio system.

Got a new (used) amplifier from eBay and installed it today; the buzz from the front speakers is gone. Thanks
