Default Auto lock feature question

Has anyone tried to deactivate the auto lock feature on the doors? Results? How to? Thanks

Hmm, it's linked from the gearbox to the body control module with some relationship to the security module, my guess is it's no a doable thing, it might be a case of disconnecting the wires from the gearbox switch? I wouldn't recommend it though. Why do you want it disabled?

You will need a PDU, WDS or IDS etc. and go to Vehicle Configuration, select Dealer Options and disable 'drive away locking'.

There is a list of features that can be 'enabled/disabled' so ask if you can look over the shoulder of the guy so you can pick and choose.

When I was at the dealer and was performing a PDI on a SOLD UNIT, I always asked the salesman to get the customer to pick the features so I did not have to do it again and charge for the service.

I don't know if any other diagnostic computer can select features.

Now, that's quality workmanship.

Yes, the list is on the WDS or IDS screen when you navigate to DEALER OPTIONS.

Each model of car has it's own group of features that can be enabled/disabled.

The newer the car, the more features. The list is very short for the 1995-1997 X300 but longer for the1998-2003 X308 and even longer for the later cars.

There will even be different features for different markets eg. the US cars did not have DEADLOCKING (at least up to 2006MY when I left the dealer) or intrusion alarm sensor.

I have never seen a printed list but there might be one out there somewhere.

I know at least 3:
1/ As mentionned Autolock
2/ DRL ( Daytime Running Lights)
3/ Fan speed to compensate for Pollen Filters
