Default AWD conversion

So our x308s are really responsive to accelerator inputs regardless of whether or not we're in an xj8 or xjr, but has anyone tried to do a awd(like shoehornign a 4hp24 or possibly using a mercedes m722.6) conversion before?
I know it sounds crazy especially with our engine-bays being what they are, but I thought that if tesla conversions are a thing perhaps there was someone crazy/stupid enough to try this. If someone did perform this "upgrade" what kind of electrical nannies would they likely have to overcome assuming they could get past the physical barriers.

The easiest answer I can come up with would be to review the Subaru setup. They've perfected and then added a Porsche motor to take it over the top. I just hope you have some money to spend and a shop like Jesse James.

Here we have a car from a local collection. Maybe the only factory(?) made Series 1 AWD . The engine is big block Mopar from Jensen .

I mean if you intend to keep the original engine, and you can find a 4wd box which shares the same front end then I'd imagine swapping the front casing would allow it to mate to the engine, you'll most likely have to modify the floor in the drivers footwell for the transfer case and forward prop

Custom props are a given

You'd need a front diff which has the same ratio as the rear, and then to make room for it under the engine. Lots of things can be moved around, but if the crank line fouls then you're pretty stuck

You'd need a way to get drive to the front wheels, so some uprights with drive flanges to accept a CV joint, but without messing up the steering geometry

Then in terms of electrics, you'd have to lose the traction control, since its programmed responses may make things worse rather than better and it's beyond the realms of DIY to reprogram it. You'd need a different TCM to cope with the front/rear torque split. ABS would survive in principal, provided it doesn't spit the dummy over the rest.

I cant really see the point with much less than 500bhp to be honest.
