It may be due to the different suspension geometry on the XJR, but on my XJS the DWS 06 ride comfort improvement from the Pzeros has been pure heaven in my experience.

I also own an '02 XJR and, based on what you are saying, I may not choose the Continentals when the current Pilots wear out, however, Convincor appears to have them on his 2002 XJR-100 and he doesn't find them "squirmy" either.

Cheers,
The continental's are on my 98 XJR daily driver.
The 100 has Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's. Haven't driven it enough to comment on them.

Thanks for clarifying.
In addition, does the XJR-100 come from the factory with the same tires as the standard XJR? If so, is it for any performance reason?

Thank you

Cheers,

I just put on Pirelli P Zero All Seasons, and am a bit disappointed as they shake your teeth out for the first few miles, and the vibration never actually goes away totally. No such problem with the previous Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on the XJR, or the Michelin Premier A/S on the Passat.

Cheers,
The wheel sizes are different. You know that it's 13 years since an XJR-100 left the factory, right? Also, the question is kind of moot as any factory tires on an XJR are going to be at least 13 years old at this point, and long since unavailable. Also please note that many reviewers of the XJR-100 noted how horrible the ride was.

I love how much opinions vary! I have them on my XJR-100 and can't stand them.

Very few on this board have driven one with the specific OE Pirelli's PZ-- Summer only. It't the tire to compare.

The Pilot's are a great tire but ... same problem on the Jaguar as my Porsche -- too firm.

unfortunately, the original PZero is not around so its the PS2's for my old 996tt.
