Default Bonnet leaper

Hello everyone! I am a new member, and no doubt will be jumped on here for my question, but I will go ahead anyway as I cannot find the answer anywhere!
I have a 2002 XJ8 3.2. It is one of the very last built. The car does not have a bonnet / hood leaper and I would very much like to fit one. I know it is personal taste, and some of you will not approve.
I am hoping that someone here will be able to tell me the external measurement from the leading edge of the bonnet to the point where the underside frame has the circular section for where the main fixing bolt would be, for drilling purposes. I have not personally come across a car with one fitted, so cannot take any measurement myself.
Thank you so much, and hope that you may have the answer for me.
Dan

Same reply I gave in the other thread you posted this question in:

Leapers are not permitted in most of Europe now due to pedestrian safety concerns.

If you should skewer a local walker, you might be in serious trouble. Check your local laws before installing.
