My brakes make this high pitched sound whenever I brake as if they need to be replaced, i already put new brakes, pads, and calipers on my car about 7 months ago, and haven't driven it until about a month ago. It happens in wet or dry weather. Wondering what could be the issue...

Sometimes the materials used in aftermarket pads are inferior resulting in brake squeal. Happened to me and since then I have used OEM pads.
You can tell pretty much if the pads are worn. You will hear a grinding metal to metal sound. Try putting some anti brake squeal cream or shims behind the pads.

My car with OEM pads doesn't like gentle braking. It starts to squeal. A couple of hard braking efforts and everything is fine again.

MY OEM pads squealed like a **** for months, always did on the front until I replaced with those ceramics from posi-quiet. Very quiet now hah. Since its my 3rd car now and mostly just our beater to play with. (still in mint condition but who gives an F these models in MINT condition are worth maybe $6k now.) I treat my 98 XJ8 pretty hard now, its actually quite fun. I'm giving back the rough love it gave me the past 2yrs haha.
I say go aftermarket, Jaguar parts for x308 are way to pricey to fail like they do, i'd say thats a fact. I bet they'd charge you like $100 for a set of pads haha
BTW Land Rover got the most repairs per cars sold in 2009 go figure!
