Hi everyone, i am a newish UK member and have posted a couple of questions regarding powerfold wing mirrors. Thought i would introduce myself and let you know what a great site this is. I was a strictly xj6 s2 fanatic but i succumbed to modernisation and purchased my 1998 xjr about 8 months ago.It is saphire blue with ivory leather,penta alloys and a good sevice history. Mileage is 113000 on original nikasil engine and it has been trouble free so far (TOUCH WOOD!!!!) only ****le is wing mirrors. I have been reading posts and replies all day and i am impressed with everyones knowledge,i have found enough information about the wing mirror problem , and i will also try and programme spare remote fob from information gathered .I will let you know whether i am successfull or not, anyway thanks again for great site, keep up the good work!

Hi ! my original question was for removal of wing mirror without damage .i found helpful info on page 20/door mirror rattle. My nearside mirror goes right round but my offside returns to its memory position, i assume that there must be some sort of stop on the motor which may get broken by a collision.
