Hi WGA, I'm sure one of the Jag techs will be here shortly but in the meantime, the ASC is handled by the ABS system using the wheel sensors to determine which wheel is in danger of losing traction. It then applies slight braking to the opposite wheel to reduce the danger of a skid. Completing a good brake job and getting all the sensors back where they belong may cure the failure display on the dash.

a abs failulre is useally a c1095 abs pump code with is really an abs ecu failure. you really need to have the codes read for the abs and ifits failed contact Ken at Motocars(site sponsor) I believe he can get them rebuilt, cause new theyre about 2k.

Brutal is 100% correct, if you can get the codes read, it will help. I had an intermittent fault of this nature, so cleaned the abs sensors on the back of the discs, (you'll see them facing the toothed cog) with paper loaded with WD40. Took 20 mins, loads of gunk of them, and huzzar, lights have stayed off so far, 2,000 miles....
