Unhappy Broken hood cable

It appears the cable broke on my 2001 Van den plas and I can't open the hood.
Does anyone know of a fix?

Do asearch for this thread. you can go thru the inner fender well cover and trip the latch mechanism. Probably have a broken cable to replace.

Bonnet/hood latch will not open RESOLVED

You have to drill a small hole in the inner fender well. I drilled a 1" hole since you can
purchase plugs at Lowes or Home Depot to fill it. chock the rear wheels, loosen the lug nuts on the front tire and jack the car. Remove the wheel and drill a hole in the inner fender at a point closest to the latch. Use a long screw driver to pop the latch. A flashlight my help.

Default Hood latch

Thanks for the info. At this time I think I'll leave it up to my mechanic.
