Default CTEK Install Question

Sorry for all of the questions... I'll ease off in a little bit.

I just got my CTEK 3300 and extension cable. I'd like to mount the connector it under the front hood, and keep the connector accessible from the front of the car without popping the hood. Anyone have a setup like this with recommended routing path for the cable?

The correct method is to connect the positive direct to the battery and the negative to the ground stud in the boot/trunk.

Your car your choice but this is clearly written in the manual, if you have one.

I looked for under the hood mount points and didn't see anything. The Jump Start terminals are in the trunk and easier than digging out a direct connect to the battery. I am going to put my quick connect trickle charge cable there.

I am out of town so going by memory as I had scoped out my placement already. If you go to the trunk, remove the plastic hatch in front of the drivers side stop lights, at the bottom against the left fender there is a rubber boot cover over the positive terminal. The Jump ground is somewhere in the middle, I didn't look for that as I am planning on using one of the other bolts if it could provide solid ground.

Default Ok... installed in the boot

After reading everyone's advice, I did the standard install in the trunk. I will get the cigarette lighter socket at some point to make it cleaner. Thanks everyone!
