I have a 1999 XJ8 4.0 V8 LWB,just had new front wings fitted,the bodyshop had to remove both bumpers to paint them,since refitting the bumpers they move up and at the sides only,the front bumper moves up and down on the drivers side,passenger side is fine,at the left hand rear the bumper moves up and down,other side is fine,the bodyshop has agreed to remove the bumpers,but what can they do to sort it,do I need Bumper Mounts and or Brackets or Buffers,any help would be great,thanks in advance

 

The side brackets (Items 19 & 15 on the diagrams) of the bumpers were probably not properly engaged during installation. The sides of the bumpers need to slide onto the brackets.

 

My car rear bumper moved too up and down. It had number 14 brackets all snapped in the middle. I braced them with some steel band and self tapping screws until I order new bracets.
