A/C problems on 2003 Jag XJR
I just pulled the following codes off of my climate control display PDU23, PDU42 and PDU46. My system was fully cleaned, charged and checked by my mechanic for proper freon levels. The car is still blowing hot air most of the time. Does this mean that the A/C pressure switch is bad? Does anyone have one for sale?
When the AC system was serviced, did the mechanic check that the compressor was kicking in. If it is kicking in, even though it appears to be working correctly, it may be faulty, your man needs to watch his gauges when the compressor starts to pump the refrigerant to see if the gauges fluctuate as the compressor kicks in and out as it should. If the gauges don't fluctuate then the compressor has probably failed.
