Default Can pair xenon headlamp with non-xenon

I have a 08 XJ VDP. The plastic on the drivers side headlamp got cracked. Maybe a rock on the interstate, who knows. The turn signal works and the brights. But the xenon lights don't work.
To replace the entire assembly is more than $1500.
The replace with a non-xenon is $500.
Could I pair a non-xenon with a xenon and would that look terrible?
Any thoughts on my predicament would help. I can't drive at night unless I have the brights on, lest I get pulled over.

And such a difference if you have less than perfect vision (or are more or less blind . It got to the point with me that I felt dangerous to other's driving at night in the rain. EBay hid/xenon kits worked for me! Night and day difference from the old fashion lights that came with my 2011.

Since we're on the subject, any recommendations on a HID kit for the side lamps?

I bought the cheapest HID kits I could find while living in China, used them for 4 years on my Jeep Grand Cherokee there, then brought them to Taiwan and use them for almost 2 years on my XJ.

Moral of the story: cheap does not always mean bad quality .

On the Jag, I use a set for the dipped headlights, and the other set for the fogs (which I use as DRL's).
Added 6000K conventional bulbs for the high beams, and LED's for the parking lights.
A perfect, same color, combo.

Just buy a xenon bulb/capacitor off Ebay. They're cheap and easy to put into your projector beam hardlight.

Yes, feel free to PM.
Pics from 1 1/2 year ago, after install:

LED for parking, HID for dipped, Superbright for the high's:

LED for parking, HID for both dipped and fogs:

I am still considering to install HID or LED's for the high beams to further improve the reach.
The high beams with superbrights look cool, but add very little if switched on.
