Default Can't get wheel off.

Well this is a first for me. I am trying to do front wheel bearings today, and the darned wheel won't budge. The nuts are off but repeated beatings with a dead blow hammer won't budge it. Ideas?

penetrant, beatings, turning the steering on the ground, and even driving back forth in the driveway with loose wheel nuts and slamming on the brakes. Still no joy.

You might try to coat the hub center contact area with some anti-seize compound or grease to prevent the corrosion.

3 out of 4 wheels gave me a hard time. All now have Never Seize on the centre hub. I also had to use a Dremel wire wheel to clean up the inside of the wheel so that it fit the hub without being forced.

And remember to torque them up to just 70 lb/ft - seems almost nothing.
