Looks like the regulator is part of the LH fuel rail NCC347AD

 

I guess it appears I'll need to add one of those aftermarket FPR kits. The ones shown on the Amazon site have a lot of different fittings so it would seem with some diligence I could get it hooked up. One thing I'm unsure of though, the original fuel lines are connected with those couplers that use the plastic expanders to remove them. How did you manage to connect the new parts to the original fuel line as shown in your picture? Did you cut off the fuel line and attach it to the kit with one of the fittings in the kit? Also, the kits all seem like they have the same collection of hoses and fittings. Is there a particular one that is needed or can any of these kist work for what I need? they also seem to have an adapter that fits onto the fuel rail. I see you used a different adapter. Would you say the ones with the kits don't fir correctly?

Sorry about all the questions. I just want to be sure I have everything in mind and in hand when I order and can get it installed in a day or two. Real ready to get this car to pass inspection and get a tag so I can drive it!

These are the fittings to adapt the oem fuel lines to -6
You shouldn’t have to modify your stock hoses at all using these and they can be removed using the same ring style disconnect tool.

 

This is where you get to show off your skills and imagination to figure out where to mount the FPR and run the fuel lines. As you can see in the pics, two different ways to do it depending on your situation. k-man mounted his FPR to the ECU shield; my car doesn't have that so I mounted it to the false bulkhead side panel. When I put mine in, I was doing some work on the SC, so after doing that and putting the SC back in place, I had the room to run the return line under the intake elbow. k-man didn't have the TB and elbow off, so he ran his return line over the top. But, the fittings are the same; -6AN hose and connectors. For the quick disconnect to the return line, that's a 5/16s with -6AN male connector. The rest are -6 hose ends. I didn't know exactly how everything was going to come together when I went to buy the parts, so I got two of each hose ends with 90, 45, 30, and 15 degree bends, and six-feet of hose. Only used four of the hose ends and three feet of hose; don't remember which hose ends worked the best as that was a year-and-a-half ago. The biggest problem I had was with the fuel rail adapter. It doesn't have the shoulder to push the o-ring into the rail, so I tried k-man's stacking of o-rings to push it in and that didn't work, probably 'cause the stacked ones were too soft and the OEM o-ring got torn up. I tried a few other things, but ended up back with the stacking with stiffer o-rings and a 13mm fat o-ring for the seal. I also put some gasket maker on the adaptor just to make sure it wouldn't leak.

So, when/if you pull the plug on this mod, we're looking forward to see what you came up with.

 

Thanks loads guys! It may be a few days to get back to the car since I'm working again plus time with family while the holidays are going on. I will take pictures and post when it finally happens. Other than fashioning some sort of a mount, it looks reasonably easy. (He says before attempting to make the modifications.) An old and dear boss would say, "everything takes longer than you think so plan accordingly".

That vacuum gauge is a nice tough too....

Sure do like that red supercharged VDP you got there K-man! I have two red N/A VDPs and a black XJR that I'd rather was red..... Both the VPDs do run great though....I'd drive them anywhere...
