Default Chrome Bumper Blades 2003 XJR

Greeting to the list.
I have a 2003 XJR that has staining on all four chrome bumper blades. The rest of the exterior and wheels are in great shape, but these dingy chrome strips really stick out (to my eye) and detract from the overall appearance of the car.
Are these strips metal or chrome plated plastic? Has anyone had any luck cleaning or restoring them, or is it easier to just remove and replace?
Thanks in advance.

The easiest way to tell is with a small magnet. Grab one off the refrigerator. If it sticks metal, if not plastic. Metal is usually steel with copper coat then chrome. SNG Barratt has them at about $162.00 each. Would hope for that cost metal.

They are plastic of the highest but cheapest grade... Basically means they are the cheapest plastic Jaguar could find and then chrome plated. Just to make them look more expensive.
