Default Code P102 - MAFS sense circuit low voltage

When I replaced the TB gasket last weekend I removed the entire OEM air intake assembly. After putting it back together I got code P102, and the car went into 'restricted performance' mode. I had no codes prior to replacing the gasket. I finally got a chance to try to investigate the problem today. The causes are:

  • Blocked air filter
  • MAFS to ECM sensing circuit high resistance or open circuit
  • MAFS to ECM sensing circuit intermittent short circuit to ground
  • MAFS supply circuit open circuit or short circuit to ground
  • MAFS failure
I verified that the air filter is not blocked. I tested for voltage on the 5 wires and got the following:

Wire Voltage

black/yellow 1.0
green/yellow ~.35
white/blue ~.35
black/green ~.35
blue/purple ~.35

I am not electrically proficient, so I am not sure what to do now. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It is running fine, just won't exceed 3k rpm . I did disconnect the battery when I worked in the TB gasket. I erased the code, but it returned immediately.

During my drive to work this am I had the OBDII hooked up. I noticed that the MAF reading was 0 during the drive, but the IAT was reading correctly.

Okay, I was looking through the electrical schematic so that I could test the continuity of the MAF wiring. It was then that I noticed that one of the wires has a fuse in the engine management fuse box. Hmmmmm, pulled the fuse and... yep, blown fuse. Replaced with a new 10 amp fuse, cleared the code, and stomped on the gas. Man, I love that feeling!
