Default Colour poll

Hi all,

I'm currently preparing my XJ8 for a respray and have gotten stuck on which colour I want or better would like...

I need a little help/nudge

Please select!

The style I'm wanting is a different colour to all the "normal" XJs on the road. No silver or high gloss...

Cheers

Damien

Hehe... Though pink wasn't actually what I thought My car is currently "Meteorite Pearl" so it does sometimes look a little pinkish... But the colour is too bright for me

I am not a fan of flat colours. One colour that may look amazing on the body would be a BMW colour from the e38 7 series. It is a called impala brown metallic

I reckon if you're going to go with a dark matte, go with the flattest black you can find. I have my doubts that it'll look good on an x308 body, but I'll be interested to see the pictures.

Tada...

Though I am currently thinking of a Bronze matt or Anthracite matt... But of course both as a metallic...

I was never a fan of the Matte finish - too many cars it ends up just looking like a car in primer. It might just depend on the color, but that last picture is what it looks like to me. Hard to judge sometimes by a picture, for sure, but it'd definitely be different. Worst case, change it after. Or do a wrap first and see what you think? At least it'll be rust free

That is what I think too... Matte black is of course a standard "hot rod" colour. The XJ isn't a hot rod so it wouldn't really work. A friend just threw in "RAL 6005" aka mossgreen. That is a very close to British Racing Green colour but then again, I might as well spray it in proper BRG. So that isn't really the desired way...

I think anthracite would be a good colour (RAL7016) with metallic particles in a matte/flat finish.

I've had my car "photoshopped" to look how I imagined but then I don't know:

flat
silky matte
gloss

Really hard choice. Everything but Meteroite Pearl
