Default Coolant Hoses Parts Numbers? / Quality BULK Hose?

Hello Gentlemen:

I looked in the Jag Electronic parts catalog and see radiator hoses (the upper the lower and bypass--and I already bought and installed them), but not the other coolant hoses. Does anyone happen to know the parts #'s for them, for the 2001 VDP?

And... is there any BULK hose of equal quality to OEM hose? (I'm not talking about replacing formed hose, of course.) .

Thanks so much,

SirJag

Are any of these hoses the same as on the Lincoln LS1 or Ford Tbird with the 3.9 V8?

I'm afraid I can't help you with that one. I think there are others lurking here that might know, though.

Good luck.

Well, all those hoses are formed in some manner......I guess the two under the intake could probably be replaced by straight hose. The rest are definitely nothing you could substitute. The one labeled "hose set" is an octopus for sure.

Cheers,

Default I found 4 out of 7 on these hoses in Rock Auto online

Hi SirJag
Rock Auto has 4 of your hoses. Iooked them up to the part numbers in this thread:
Here is a PDF file --These are aftermarket hoses made by URO (they look like some of the hoses that Jagbits sells, but at a much lower price at Rock Auto).

RockAuto Parts Catalog

I will try to find the other 3 hoses somewhere else.

Default These hoses maybe the other 3

Hi SirJag
SirJag found MNC6733AE (JAGUAR MNC6733AE HOSE/HEATER at parts4carsonline.com) $117.45.

Checkout these other 3 hoses at Partsgreek.com
2001 VDP Other 3 hoses .pdf

By their part description they may be the other hoses you need.

Hey Uncle Jag Jim, ;-)

Thank you! I checked and RockAuto actually has them all (their look-up system is kind of odd) except MNC6733AE which is a hose assembly with 5 connections, but I found a great price for that at parts4carsonline. The pricing beats the pants off my supplier... so THANK YOU!

So many thanks to you and xjrguy who provided the parts numbers. You guys are the best friends a Jag lover could possibly have.

Default Here is a DIY on Heater hoses replacement

Hi Sirjag
I found this DIY on Untitled Document .
This is jaguar.blackonyx.net main screen. Click write-up. Scroll down to
Rear shock replacement X300/X308. This is where the links to the DIY write-ups start.
Click on the DIY you want to view.
I picked Heater hose replacement X308 (PDF).
It has instructions and pictures of how to replace the heater hoses.
Here is the PDF file:
Jaguar Blackonxy Diy Heater Hoses.pdf

I updated my post "These hoses maybe the other 3" to include JAGUAR MNC6733AE HOSE/HEATER along with its price.

Please share by updating your post to include the part description and price you found for the other 2 hoses (MNC4582AC & MNC6742AC) on Rock Auto website.

Default Meet "THE BEAST" -- Hose From Hell

It's the Mother of All Jag Hoses. Part #MNC6733AE

I wish I could find this mindless rubber octopus somewhere for less than the cost of... sigh... whatever.

I think I'll wait for this one to burst. Nothing wrong with it... I was simply changing out hoses for good measure. This one will have to wait. Other things need to get done first.

A review of the URO parts will be helpful to others -- many discussions in the older MB forums regarding the parts. Looks like for many the reviews are -- not to OE quality but well worth the price for many applications. From all reports "Made in China"

May I ask why you are replacing all the hoses - normally last a lone time.

Default This thread has become a hose replacement resource

Hi SirJag
Also please post the Rock Auto information and prices on MNC4582AC & MNC6742AC.
Once we get all the information about these hoses.
This thread should be an excellent resource for members that need hose replacements. It gives the hose part numbers, prices, where to buy and DIY instructions.

My Jag dealer said the (aftermarket) hoses were swollen. Some were cheap bulk hose. (Thus my signature, below). I have a mobile mechanic come to my home and work on my cat. I'm trying to get rid of all evidence of the previous owner's testament to low I.Q.

Default Here is another DIY on Heater Hoses for XJ8 & XJR

Hi
I found this very well done DIY on the Heater Hoses. Instructions are step by step, gives all the part numbers and their descriptions. Also the labor hours.

It has separate instructions for supercharger. Instructions also refers to sections of JTIS. I will include the JTIS sections when time permits.

Gives all the information needed - coolant information, Fault Codes, Repair Order numbers, Description of the Repair (Heater Return and Feed Hoses-Renew), Time allowance for each XJ model, and itl has all of the parts listed to do the job.
Here is the PDF file:

Jag heater hoses DIY.pdf

Enjoy

I'm pretty sure that document is an AllData rehash of the attached Jaguar bulletin. Nuttin' like the horses mouth, eh??
