XJ8 (what year is yours?) are powered by the Radiator Fan Control Relay Module (RFCRM)- it has 3 relays that control the fans in one of four modes:

1 off
2 Left on full
3 Both on in series (half speed)
4 Both on in parallel (full speed)

The RFCRM receives its command signals from the ECM - two wires that control the four states.

You're welcome.

Here's a link where it's described in a bit more detail:

The wire colors mentioned are specific to the 99 model... and Jag changes colors yearly. What year is yours?

There are two fuses - one that controls the left fan and one that contols power to the right fan thru the RFCRM - they're in the Engine Compartment fuse box, fuses #12 and #14. But since your fans don't work at all, I'd guess it's not fuse related.

Good Luck!
