Creating a 2003 XJ12
I have noticed over the years that the early 2000s Aston Martin V12 Vanquish seems to share many electronic parts with the X308 and the XK8. I wonder how difficult it would be to make yourself a 2003 XJ12?
I have dabbled slightly in this adventure by fitting the clock from a V12 Vanquish into my XJR
This is certainly a dream but it would be cool to someday have the financial resources to make it a reality!
Pictures of similar parts.

Wow, they really did just raid the Jag parts bin, didn't they!
I've always felt a bit sad that Jaguar stopped making the XJ12 as well, and thought the Aston V12 would be a perfect addition to the lineup.
You'd probably have more luck with parts from the DB7 though, rather than the Vanquish, as they were based on the old XJS chassis, rather than the aluminium/carbon composite chassis in the Vanquish. I'm sure the wiring etc would all match up easily enough, but you might have trouble fitting the engine and gearbox because of the chassis differences, whereas the DB7 V12 was available with the a very similar auto as the XK8's, or of course the Tremac T-56.
Then of course there's the price it would cost to do such a conversion... Sure nothing sounds quite like an NA V12, but nothing sounds quite like a supercharged V8 either, and if you're just after more power, a Kenne Bell upgrade just makes so much more sense
