I tried tofollow the instructions in the "how to links" section for 1996 - 06 XK8/R cars but it doesn't seem to work for the Daimler S.

Have to admit that I am a bit confused by the "flash to pass bit" does that mean the signals or flashing the headlights ?

Only one button works on the remote, the one that turns on the lights. It didn't before I tried to reprogram. So I guess I might have done something right.

Any suggestions ??

 

It means flashing the headlights.

Brilliant, thanks for that and yes I managed to program it successfully but there were no chirps or beeps to follow.

 

That is unusual not to hear the confirmation chirp or beep although it is quite a quiet sound.

Important thing is the programming has been successful.
