Daimler double six 5.3
Hi Friends,
I have just bought my neighbors Daimler Double 6 , it was parked for two years.
So I’m planning to fix it soon & i have the following questions:
What is the correct battery for it as i have doubts on the installed one?
What can i know from the VIN number (SAJDDJLW4CR484..) ?
How to remove the drivers seat for renovation ?
Regards,

Firstly, Welcome to the forum.
When time permits, please do an intro in the "New members area".
Where is Muscat????. Different markets have different stuff.
Also what year is the Daimler?. Different versions of the 5.3 along the time frame.

Muscat is in Oman, Middle East.
The "484" suggests it is a 1988 model.
As to the particulars, my six-cylinder uses a group 34, but obviously the 12 may have different needs. Generally though, the biggest battery that will fit (the greatest CCA) is the best choice.
Seat, a screw on the front (under your knees) releases the lower cushion. Then, four bolts should remove the rest from the floor. Don't forget to unplug the power leads for the motor.
Hope this is helpful.
Andrew.

Thanks for that.
As Andrew has said the largest physical size that will fit the tray, and CCA of around 620+.
Down here it is known as a N52, or N53 with the terminals reversed.
Watch the height at the terminals, coz some batteries can be too high, and when the bonnet is shut, sparks fly.
The seat should be secured by 4 bolts/setscrews. Usually slide it ALL the way back for the front 2, and ALL the way forward for the rear 2. Then a few electrical connectors underneath depending on seat heaters, motors, etc that may be fitted.
