The 10 and 1 number is for orientation in the pic as you are looking for Left Heelboard fuse number 9 ( 10 amp ) and 12 ( 5 amp ) . After you establish speaker function you will need to bridge the shield an the tan group as the shield grounds though the head unit and not on the other end through the final amplifier . They are very sensitive wires

....... Good workmanship on the splices and shrink wrap but remember to bridge the shield as thy are susceptible to giving you distortion if not . Speaker repair using same original parts as mine were rotten foam surrounds giving bad sound quality ?

Refresh my memory on that last post I do notice that the sound is rather muddy on the low and are you saying that I should install a crossover at the sub woofer?

If you have the factory premium system with final amplifier you will not need the crossover . You can remove one of the door panels and you will see the speaker rot of the surrounds outside of the rigid cones to frame pieces that you keep .

You will see a pic of a damaged one that I put dimensions on . Auxiliary input jack mod for any plugin device ?

Ok, I see what you're talking about. I will visually inspect all the speakers for rot. I was planning on installing the Bluetooth add on device. I know there are several out there that will work with this car. Any recommendations?

No . The signal degrades as you go through devices as well as converting a signal through the FM receiver . A better sound bypasses all that as a line in jack that taps into the cassettes tie in point to the rest of your stereo head unit . Easy to do . Pic is from a one of the X308 units and the second is of the X300

I was in Dallas last week.

there is a jag specialist 2 doors down from gas monkey garage.

several x308's out the front.

It might be worth a look and see what they can do for you.

Default ICE FUSE?

What do you mean by the "ICE FUSE"? Having the same problem with my 99 XJ8 Vandenplas. All fuses checked, have to get a volt meter to make sure all voltage is correct but it seems like the same situation you were in. No power to screen to even enter a code, every mem, pty, fast forward code I found didn't work. Last time the radio worked was two weeks ago and every time it doesn't come on its at start-up. First experience involved replacing most fuses, radio, entertainment and accessory sockets. Unit powered on no problem. Worked fine for 10 minutes until the disc changer seized up. The seize caused the radio to stop working. Anything I pressed on the screen did not bring the radio out of this. Radio has not come back on since. I have removed the disc changer, unplugged and replugged the radio in, left the battery disconnected. I am seriously at a loss on this one. Trying to get this one up to Par so I can get to my 98 Xj8L ECU Project. Just need this radio to work. Thanks a Mill Feline Friends!!

Edit**On second thought I never checked #12 in the Right Hand Heel board, will update question/comment upon doing so. Thanks in advance, will be in 6hrs or more
