Gents, Fixing of my newly acquired XJR continues and I have noticed that the temperature/ climate control display is only lit up on one side. Does anyone know if this is powered by a bulb or is a LCD display? Picture attached, hopeful I don't have to go looking for a complete unit and this is is an easy fix.

 

It is just a bulb that needs replacing, they are easy to find on the internet. Part number is JLM11965 and you can buy it from Jaguar for less than £5.

To replace it you will have to dismantle the console area, but it's not that difficult. If you search the forum you'll find the procedure, but you have to remove the j gate surround, ski slope veneer and unscrew the three Philips screws that hold the panel in place. Be aware the panel is plugged into the car via a blue plug at the side of the Gear selection.
