Default Deactivating alarm system permanently

Does anyone know if it is possible to totally deactivate the alarm system on a Daimler Super V8 (1999) ?

It has been giving me grief for some time and becomes more bizarre in its behaviour by the day. The passenger door mirror dips fully and to extreme outer position when car is unlocked with remote. Using the key only, used to resolve this issue but now from time to time the same thing occurs with the key. The alarm has even tried to activate whilst driving on two or three occassions and I am now wondering if it is the alarm that is causing the bad idle which has now become intermittent. I have tried all the options, hard reset, reprogram remote, left battery off for 24hrs, all the usual things but to no avail.

I had major issues with my 4.6 Range Rover alarm system for many years and after massive ducking and diving have finally killed it stone dead (I mean the alarm, not the car).

Thanks in hopeful anticipation

I *think* it's an IDS programming function so finding a Jag indie or a trip to the dealer to do this. It could also be a fault with either the passenger or driver door module. Either way IDS should locate the issue.
