What are some features the dealer can do on the car that are not program that they can do with their software?

Thanks Bob! So these are things that are only enabled by Dealer software. I know that you have these software's. How much will a dealer/tech charge to enable some?

 

When I worked at the dealer and the new car was a customer sold unit (not for stock) I would tell the salesman to bring the customer to the shop and tell me what they wanted in the way of convenience features configured to the car during the PDI.

They got one chance at FREE to pick and choose the features. If they came back at a later date and wanted changes, that would be shop time and the service writer and the customer had to hammer that out.

I would figure that the shop has a one hour minimum shop charge....just a guess.
