I have searched extensively, but this forum is a victim of it's own success. There's a zillion threads and it's hard to find stuff. I am ready to order parts to rebuild my original Nikasil 98 XJR 4.0 engine. Here's the questions;

1. Do I stick with an original 4.0 gasket? The p/n is NCC2541BC and NCC2540BC. I don't like this idea since they have a history of failure.
2. Are there superceded part numbers for the 4.0?
3. Can I use the factory 4.2 gaskets? What part numbers?
4. Do I have to use Jag parts, or does someone else make a quality gasket that will suit my supercharged engine?

Thanks guys. When I'm done with this job I am going to post a complete list of p/n and suppliers because this is taking me forever!

 

BTW, I will not hold anyone responsible for any advice, I am a big boy and a realist and in the end will make my own decision, so throw out some ideas!
