Default Did Transmssion On '98'XJ8 Swap Got Stall Speed Error

Hi, I had a mechanic do a transmission swap on my 1998 XJ8 and the car has a stall speed error code. The fluid is full but in drive it takes a while to pick up speed but reverses fine? Does anyone know what could be the cause? The transmission was supposidely good.

There's 4 possible causes:

1) Transmission oil level low
2) Transmission Selector cable adjustment / installation incorrect
3) Output speed sensor problem
4) Transmission mechanical failure

If it takes a while to pick up speed, it sounds like internal mechanical fault, or possibly low fluid. Drive it by a Jag shop or dealer and have them take it for a spin, they shouldn't charge you. It should be relatively easy to tell if it's slipping.

Make sure the letters/numbers on the shifter surround match the corresponding gear ("D" lights up in drive and so on).
