differences among idler pulleys
mine totally felt off and car is running without S/C now
want to know the actual difference between these 2 pulleys
the second one is made of metal and with thread, but 3 times more expensive

At some point Jaguar changed the belt to one that's ribbed on both sides, not just on one. If you have the new belt, you need a ribbed idler pulley. What kind of belt and pulley do you have now?
