Welcome to the forum pascalclair,

I've moved your question from an old thread in Europe Region to X308 forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your model.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Welcome pascalclair, yes, please do as Graham asks. Tell us about yourself and your ride.

As for your statement, what issue are you having to want (or need) to do this for? You are correct in the procedure, you do it to bleed off excess line power to reset the system. Hold the lines together for about 30 sec to a minute and let it sit for another couple minutes and reattach. Just remember, your car has to learn your driving style all over again, so it may take a few miles (kilometers) for it to be back to normal.
