Ok, so I usually talk about Jaguars with folks, and someone I used to work with told me about his- bought from a neighbor, special model etc.

I stopped by to say hello and he says he wants to sell it- I say how much- he says . I say I am probably interested later this year, he says no problem, not in a rush.

I checked it out today and it is the real deal- S/C VDP black with a(mochachino colored??) interior (I have not seen this color jag leather before) I would have preferred blk/blk but since there are only 788 in existence I probably shouldn't be too picky.

I do not LOVE the 97 coupe I bought, and I want a daily driver- I figure the coupe is worth 3-4K.

What say yall? I will still keep my 01 convertible for the summer.

 

You didn't give us how much he wants for it, but I think you would know a good deal when you see it. By reading your post I can almost feel your excitement about it.

 

Pics? Would be neat to see the interior colors, and see if it's OEM or something a PO did. Could check the door sticker and see what the interior color code is, I always thought x308's came in white/tan/black interior leather, along with the two-tone XJR schemes.

 

only 788 blk/blk on VDP? Does that cover XJR too, I have a blk/blk would love to know if it's a rare combination.

 

788 SC VDP, any color combination.

Black on black in a XJR is not really rare.
