Just when I decided that the XJ8 is about ready ... I saw these last night on a local Taiwanese forum.

Now, if the quality and look is OK, that would be a very nice and unique touch to my Vanden Plas ... so no, it seems it never stops .

Wait, you mean you're not going customer laser cut with backlighting?

 

I know the new XJ's have an option for backlit tread plates and I always thought that it would be a neat project for the x308, backlit in that great x308 warm blue used in the dash. Though to justify trying that would mean my car would have to be pristine, and I've got a long way to go til then.

I have never seen acceptable looking ones with back lighting.
I guess tailor made is the only option, but I have no idea where to begin.
