Door armrest switch
I just replaced the door pannels (on two I just replaced the pockets), and my salvage yard door panels came complete with switches, and speakers. My armrest switch on the pass front door had a crack in the clearcote, and I replaced it with one I got with the salvage yard panel. All is good, except,.....the "new" one doesn't light up! I looked and looked, and I can't tell how is the light supplied to the switch! There is no bulbs that I can see, so what gives?
Can somebody shed some light on this?

You can swap your original switches to the new wood. You can also change the bulbs by looking a the bottom of the switch assembly. You will see round plugs that have a slot in them. Turn them counter clockwise until it disengages, the. You can get a pick and pull the sockets out. If the blue/green gel cover starts folding, it will make pulling the sockets more difficult. I think this is because the gel coat melts itself to the switch assembly. It is certainly doable though
I am doing my door panels as well since my vdp pockets are nasty looking!
