Default Door handle cable replacement.

Inner door handle cable snapped a couple of days ago. Have got replacement and will try to fix over this weekend. Has anyone else had this issue, and can advise whether any special procedure is required, as having probs getting lock portion out to enable removal of cable end and insertion of new cable at back end of door.

Did mine about a month ago. Not too hard of an operation but there are some tight spaces that require some arm bending. I couldn't get the lock guard out of the door without removing the handle and then pulling it up through the handle hole. It went back in pretty easily. I also replaced the handle seal while I had it apart. I still have the other three handle seals in the garage for the rest of the doors, which should give a good indication of how much I'm looking forward to replacing those seals ...

Finally got round to sorting the snapped cable. Neighbour helped and was all done fairly quickly. So much less embarrassing opening the door without having to open the window first and use outer door handle. And so much quicker too !!
Still couldn't get the door lock mechanism out, so hope cable is properly inserted and won't pop out or snap again.
