Default Door won’t open from inside

Driver door will not open from inside. I opened the door panel and saw the plastic base of door handle was cracked and the cable has a slack. Fixed the crack but after a few open and shut, the inside door handle seems stuck. Do I need a new cable and interior door handle?

Default 2003 Jaguar xj8

My door handle is connected to the actuator which I replaced a couple of years ago however, the handle broke and I had to replace it. It worked fine for a few months and then all of the sudden stopped working. I took the panel off and nothing is broken or detached, but won't open the door. I always have to roll the window down in order to get out of the car. Is there some kind of adjustment I need to make? You seem to be the guy to ask.

Check the stopper/collars on the ends of the cable to ensure there's no slack or if it's even still present.

Ok now my driver side rear won't open from the inside but the handle is still tight unlike the front when that cable failed. Anyone know if the rear cables are the same as the front in the SWB ?!

Hope this helps? ...For some God given reason, nothing comes up for the left? At least you have a number to work with and most likely the cables are the same.

eBay comes up w/ a right including handle, seems to me if I remove the handle & just use the cable it should be reversible therefor good for either side ?!
