Default Driver door buttons don't work.

Hey all, it's been a while since I posted here lol. Just wanted to ask if anyone else has had issues with their window control buttons and mirror adjustment buttons? Mine are doing a very weird thing where sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. When they don't work, either they don't do anything when pressed, or they start opening other things they shouldn't. For example, the drivers window button should open the drivers window, but instead it opens the rear right passenger's window. It makes no sense. Then the rest of the window buttons don't work.

Also if anyone could get me help on how to replace the key lock motor on the driver's door, since turning the key doesn't open it anymore. Thanks.

I had a similar issue with a Lincoln Continental. It turned out to be
the window control circuit board had corroded and was causing
cross circuits.

Try a HART RESET before condemning anything.

Okay tried, worked for a good 20 minutes (I tried it every five minutes). Then back to same problem.

I would look for the window control module and look for cold welding issues (i.e. open the module and check, if some of the solder points have micro-cracks, which need to be re-soldered...

If water has gotten in there the circuit board traces might be corroded and an open circuit may be the fault. You'll have to remove the door control panel and inspect the circuit board. Clean and solder the missing sections of the traces. At least that happened to one of my cars which was like that when purchased. You'll have to look closely to see the problem. Probably the power traces are the usual suspects.

And by window control module you mean the gray box at bottom middle of the door right? The one that says Ford on it?

The module you referenced is the DOOR CONTROL MODULE.

The switchpack in the door can fail if water gets in it.

I used to replace Driver's Door Switchpacks after customers got their windows tinted.
Installers would 'squeegee' the water from the window and film onto the switchpack and destroy it.

I’ve encountered this same issue on a handful of X308’s. R&R the door module connector a few times. Seems that a weak connection and/or dirty pins was the issue followed by another hard reset was the fix.
