I am now seeing EBD codes P0307, P1316, P0357, and P1000. Any thoughts from the gurus here about the codes and my possible mistake of adding the gas treatment??

ka1thm: Your codes may be related to the fuel additive, but, I suspect, it's just poor timing. Many on here have recommended this additive, and I use it myself. It could've broken something loose in the fuel system, but I doubt it, especially since you have a coil code.
P0307 - Misfire cylinder B3
P0357 - Coil problem cylinder B3
P1316 - Resulted from first 2 codes, excessive emissions
P1000 - most here say to disregard

What cylinder is B3...you ask. Let's see what one of the pros here says, I have it written down somewhere, but these Guys can probably cite it from memory. A lot of times the valve covers leak oil into the plug wells, and you get these problems. Or, it could just be a coil going bad. Once you know which cylinder B3 is, you can pull the coil cover and have a look into the plug wells. Good luck.

 

I changed the coil from cylinder 7 to 8 and the codes followed the cylinder. It was just a coincidence that the error codes and restrictive performance occurred. Thank you very much for your kind reply.
