Default Engine/tranny jct oil leak?

Greetings

Lately have noticed a "quarter" size oil drop on the garage floor. Didn't worry too much about it until today. I had replaced the oil pan seal at last oil change and thought it may have been related. I did another oil change today and noticed that my pan and surroundings were nice and dry... To notice what appears to be the the junction between engine and transmission quite "wet", clearly confirming the area where the oil drop is coming from. The question is quite easy from this point.. What am I in for? Clearly not something I can attack myself so just need to be prepared for what I am in for (mechanic this is). All info / ideas / stories welcome.

Cheers

More than likely a rear main seal and/or rear oil galley plug that screws inn back of block.

Requires removal of transmission to access either so both should be done.

About a 7-8 hr job plus parts. About $800.00 repair
