Failsafe engine mode - 2000 xj8 - HELP!!!
LOVE THIS CAR.....however...
This was pretty scary - the check engine warning light lit (amber) and I got the "Failsafe engine mode message"....the car started losing power quickly although I was able to get it home.....any ideas out there? Also failure on ABS

Do what my predominately German family tells me, ditch the jag, buy arealiable benz. haha, our boy Sir Kenneth is right, first thing to do is have someoneplug her in and check the codes.
