Default Finally its alive...

I have finally finished my 99 VDP. I put the finishing touches on it last week. Filled it with all the essential fluids, I turned it over several times with the fuel injection relay and fuel pump relay disconnected and it sounded very good. I was able to clear almost all the codes with my scan tool. I then put the relays back in it and turned it over again. It took a couple tries until the fuel got up to the front. But once it had fuel it purred to life. The engine sounds very good. I had to go get a new coolant level sensor and that took care of the last lingering code I had left. Now the only other problem I have is a couple of minor oil leaks at the valve cover. It is leaking right where the timing chain cover meets the head. I am guessing that I did not get enough sealant there at this point when I put the valve covers on. If anyone has any suggestions on a good method to get a real good seal I would be grateful. I really do not want to have to keep taking the valve covers off and on. I was thinking that there may be a crack in the valve cover, I am going to take a good look at it next time I have it off. Other than that, that car is running great and I am loving driving it again. It was definitely worth the hard work of replacing the engine to put this baby back on the road again.
