Front brake "clonk" noise
Greetings all,
Better weather conditions in TX (below 100 degrees that is) means time to list work to be done on the cat :-) You might see a few threads of mine coming up soon.
So, as the titles says, when I go in reverse (out of the garage, parking spot, etc.) and brake to an evenutal stop, I get a loud "CLONK" noise from the front wheels (possibly front right one) and in my opinion is from front brakes.
Background info. I replaced the front rotors and pads myself some ~5k miles ago. Which may very well be part of the problem :-( I do not recall having such issue before replacing. Problem is that I can't recall if I had such noise after replacing them but before I got my steering rack replaced and front shocks replaced... Anyway, one thing I do remember is that I didn't feel entirely comfortable with the re-fitting of the caliper anti-rattling "spring" (not new one, re-used the one there).
I am about to replace back rotors and pads, and while doing that I intend to go back and look at front brakes. Any suggestions welcome.
Cheers

can you make a video? there's a number of things that could cause this.
Sounds like a few things require checking too, following the front end work done. Have you access to a ramp? Have you thought about front subframe mounts and engine mounts?
We need more info!
