Default Front passenger headrest

Hi

like a complete Wally I have forced my passenger headrest up on my 1999 xj8 using brute force , not realising it is motor driven , obviously it drops instantly now as I heard something fall off in the seat and can feel a plastic piece lying loose in the bottom of the seat. I have already downloaded how to remove the back of the seat to access inside. Does anyone know what I can expect to do to fix the problem , I presume I have pulled the headrest of some form of retaining bracket.

I will exercise more caution in future .

Ade

Hi Ade,
Here's a good possibility of what may have been damaged (a common break on its own) but until you remove the cover, you won't know. The covers simply pull off unless you have the picnic tables, then you need to remove the 4 screws & table then pull the cover off.
