Loosened and titled manifold to replace thermostat tower. In doing this I took off the eight u-clamps that hold the injectors on the fuel rails. Figured out later didn't need to do this. Reinstalled, but forgot to put clamps back on. They are a bear to get clipped on after fuel rail installed. Running fine. Not sucking air. Are those u-clamps just there to hold the injectors onto the fuel rail when installing? Fuel rail is down tight on the injectors, so I'm thinking not putting the clips on is okay.

 

Take it apart again, and put it back correctly. Or have fun chasing gremlins. . .
