gearbox oil check
hi all I have seen that some of you have the ability to control the oil level change with dipstick I want someone who can send me a link where to buy in europe? I did research in Italy but I can not find anyone
Hi Roldano,
For example here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Merce...YAAOSwpkFY5MsR
The link above is for the Mercedes trans, like in the XJR.
I see you have a 2001 X308 (i assume normally aspirated), so probably you have the 5HP 24 Automatic Transmission System.
For the 5HP (ZF) trans maybe this modification: http://www.meurosport.com/5HP24_Dip_Stick.php

I saw the first link 2 things I do not understand how it fixes to the gearbox and because it says not to leave the dipstick inside after the check - the second shows me a tube that turns 90 degrees on a screw does not seem to me easy 'forehand make that curve what do you say?
Roldano,
The dipstick is for the MB transmission (indeed only for checking the level), which you don't have i think;
for your ZF box this stick won't work, the second link is a workaround for the ZF.
