I'm getting tired of fixing my wifes '02 XJR.

The latest problem is the drivers door will not unlatch from the inside. It will still unlock the doors and once in a while unlatch the door.

I have done some research and it looks like a rod connects the inside door handle to the latch.

Has anybody had this problem? How hard is it to fix? What kind of cost can I expect?

 

i had the problem and the wire that attaches to the part you pull on broke..the used part cost me 150 and then i got nailed with 3 hours of labor at 90 an hour..so quite expensive for me but at least i can open it now lol.the 150 part included the handle and all, but still way too much to open a damn door.
