Default Hard start when engine hot

2000 VDP I’m having a problem starting the car when engine is hot after running for a while. Car start’s perfect when cold. After driving for a while then shutting off and letting it sit for 15-20 minutes it’s will not start unless I hit the gas pedal. Car has no fault codes showing p1111 which is good I have changed the coolant temperature sensor twice even put a new plug on it now I’m lost on what to do next. Changed plugs a couple of months ago when I tuned it up. I’m getting around 23 .5 to the gallon on freeway car runs like a dream ideas please thanks jrb53

There have been a couple of cases of vapor lock in the past, unusual in modern cars. Try a search of the forum for vapor lock and see if there is any help there.

Do you have a scanner to provide live data of the ECT? If so, what is the temperature reading?

Mine did it every few years, sending injectors for cleaning fixed the issue. now i tank in reputable places and it seems to hold just fine

One of my cars did that as well. A couple of injector cleaner resolved it. Cleaned the throttle body too. No problem now. Best to you and your car!
