The headrests in my car are fully extended and no matter how hard I push down on them, they will not retract. Are there any suggestions, or things that I do not know regarding this problem? Any and all replies will be appreciated. :}

My car is a XK8 so if you do not have electrically operated headrests . . . never mind.

 

The headrests are motorized. The up/down switch is on the side of the seat. It is the same knob that controls the backrest angle.
