Cool Help Needed finding VCATS number for Used ECM!

Hey Friends,

Wanted to know if anyone can help me figure out how to find out the vcats number for a ECU I already purchased. I cant seem to find any other places that sale ECU's detailing the VCATS code. If anyone can help, I'm looking for ECU LNC-1410AC Vcats code 101. 1998 xj8L 4.0

Thanks in advance

The VCATS label is IN THE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not on the ECM itself.

Unless someone at the salvage yard wrote the info down, you won't know.

You will need to perform an 'Immobilization setup' when installing a replacement ECM.

Thanks Motorcarman, last time I was told the vcats codes from both ecu's had to match for this to work. Is that the case? I'm not too sure if I wanna pay the dealership almost $400, if Im not sure of the match. Any suggestions or do I have to take that chance?
