Help on Turn signal multifunction switch
Hello,
I just got back from a trip and now the only exterior lights that will come on are the headlights. A quick look at the wiring for the multi-function switch has 2 wires that have become disconnected from the stalk to the green and the grey one that were soldered to the connecting wires that go to the harness connector. I've searched this forum and found similar problems with this but no wiring diagram/pictures that show which wires go to which pins on the multi-function switch.
If anyone has a picture of this showing the wires in color or a wiring diagram for this part, It would be greatly appreciated. I could get a new $300 switch, but for the time and effort to solder 2 wires I would rather do that.
Thanks,
Vance

here is the diagram
YU=YELLOW/BLUE
BK=BLACK
U=BLUE
YG=YELLOW/GREEN
WG=WHITE/GREEN
RW=RED/BLUE
Each pin/cavity has a number, SC2,2 for example. SC2 would be the connector and 2 would be the cavity in this particular connector.
Often time connectors have their cavities numbers printed/molded.
If not by using the location of the existing wires you can deduct were the missing wires goes

Went through the same problem last week. I could manipulate the switch and get the side-marker and audio/climate back lighting to go off and on. bought a switch, while removing old one found green wire had came loose from switch. went ahead and installed new one for peace of mind. I will repair old one and keep as a spare.

Thanks for the awesome site. Had to get some tools but just about 3 hours of my time an didn't have to spend > $300 for a replacement part.
